Haiti Team 1 Update from Pastor Maxeau

We are very blessed to have the team from Westover with us. They had a blessed day on Saturday with 185 kids!  On Sunday they had good service at the Valley of Hope Gospel Church.  On Monday they met with 45 women from different churches; it was a very good meeting where they shared their love together.  On Tuesday and Wednesday they had a VBS program with about 200 kids!  The kids enjoyed the program and were very happy.  Praise God!  Today, (Thursday, June 30) we will spend some time in one orphanage named "HUG A CHILD" and afterward we will visit the capital of Haiti, Port-Au-Prince. After that, we plan to go to the Baptist Mission to eat some pizza together.

Countdown to June 24th...

Our team has been making the final preparations for our Vacation Bible School and Women's Ministry programs. Additionally, we have gathered craft/games to take to the kids and will pack our bags on Wed, June 22nd.  Keep our team in prayer as we will head to Haiti on Friday, June 24th.

Prayer for Haiti Team June

We continue to prepare for the our Haiti trip on June 24th as we plan activities to serve youth and women at Valley of Hope Church in Bernard, Haiti.

Below are ways that you can help support our trip:

You can help in two ways:

1.  Prayer for our team as we seek to honor our Lord Jesus Christ in all we say and do.  Also pray for the spiritual challenges we know we will face, dealing with the extreme poverty that the vast majority of Haitians experience, the spiritual growth of the many new believers and the daily meeting of the people’s physical needs.

2.  Donate financial support for our team.   The donation deadline is May 27, 2011.  If you choose to assist us financially you may do so in the following way:

Haiti Team June

Hi, everyone!  Haiti Team June excited to share with you an opportunity that we have to serve as part of Westover Church’s short-term mission team to Bernard, Haiti.  

Our team will partner with Pastor Maxeau Antoine, founder of Valley of Hope Church.  Pastor Maxeau also serves as the director of the New Directions International feeding program, Feed the Hunger.  This feeding program provides the only meal for 2,516 children daily in the Port-au-Prince area.  Our team will be working to build relationships with the church members and serving youth.
